President of Northern Cyprus Arrives in Azerbaijan for OTS Summit

President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus arrived in the Fuzuli region on July 5 to participate in the unofficial summit of the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), set to be held in Shusha.

President Tatar was greeted at the Fuzuli International Airport by high-ranking Azerbaijani officials, including First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, the special representative of the president in the Agdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand regions, Emin Huseynov, and Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov. The welcoming ceremony highlighted the significance of the summit and the solidarity among Turkic states.

The summit in Shusha, a city of cultural and historical significance for Azerbaijan, serves as a platform for the leaders of Turkic states to discuss mutual interests, regional cooperation, and strategies to enhance economic and cultural ties. The informal nature of the meeting allows for open dialogue and the fostering of stronger relationships among the member states.
