Samed Shikhi is free

The young writer and social activist Samed Shikhi, who was detained the day before, has been released by the security forces.

This was reported by his friends.

At the same time, the following post was published on Shikhi’s Facebook page in his name.

“Yesterday, I was invited to the State Security Service in the case of Bahruz Samedov, and testified as a witness. In my testimony, I said that I knew Bahruz Samedov and had contacts with him. I was asked some questions, and I said that Bahruz Samedov organized my meetings with certain Armenians abroad and covered all my financial expenses. The questions were mainly related to certain Armenians. To be honest, I did not face any pressure. I was told that a decision would be made depending on the results. I thank my friends who were worried about me.”

Recall that Shikhi’s friends reported the day before that he was detained on the evening of August 23 at the Baku airport while flying to Tbilisi.
