20 September declared Day of State Sovereignty
On 20 September, the Azerbaijani armed forces conducted an anti-terrorist operation to disarm the remnants of Armenian armed forces from Karabakh and restore constitutional order there.
As a result, Azerbaijan’s sovereignty in Karabakh was restored.
In this connection, on 19 September 2024, the Head of State decided to declare 20 September as the Day of State Sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
