Azerbaijan met 93% of Georgia’s gas demand in 2019

In 2019, Georgia met 99.8% of the need for natural gas thanks to the import, Report informs, citing the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Commission (GNERC). 

Azerbaijan remained as the leading gas supplier of Georgia, supplying 93% of that volume. 

In the reporting period, the demand for natural gas increased by 15% to 2.5 billion cubic meters.
