A new chief prosecutor of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office has been appointed

R. Bradūnas, who has been working in the prosecutor’s office for more than 30 years, obtained his legal qualification in 1992 at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University.

In 2016, R. Bradūnas served as the chief deputy prosecutor of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office.

R. Bradūnas is awarded the 2nd degree medal of the Prosecutor’s badge of honor, the 1st degree police badge “For Merit”, St. Jurgis Marijampole patron medal, Marijampole penitentiary insignia “Honorable service”.

Since 2013, he has been the chief prosecutor of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office Darius Valkavičius. At the end of the period of two terms of office, D. Valkavičius will continue his service as a prosecutor in the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office.

R. Bradūnas will start his five-year term on October 4, the prosecutor’s office announced.
