Armenia’s deputy chiefs resign | Report.az

Two deputy police chiefs (interior minister) Hayk Mgryan and Tigran Yesayan have resigned, Report says, citing 168 Jam.

According to the newspaper, the deputies’ resignation will lead to a severe shortage of staff in this power structure. They are highly professional. Mgryan was appointed to the post in January 2020. He curated a state of emergency related to the coronavirus pandemic. Yesayan was named deputy police chief in 2019.

The reason for the resignation of the officials is unknown. On the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President accepts the resignations and appoints a new one.
