Envoy: Third lectorate of DAAD to open in Baku next year

The third lectorate of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Baku will be opened in Azerbaijani Technical University next year, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig told Report.

The ambassador pointed out the main aspects of DAAD lectorate focus: DAAD’s lectorate is focused not only on the language teaching but also on the knowledge improvement of German life, society, policy and overall systems: “This helps to train not only the German language teachers but also those who will use this knowledge skills for their future professions.”

As for another task, the ambassador pointed to sharing the needed information for thiose who want to apply for the scholarship in Germany, organizing exchange scholarship programs and students exchange.

DAAD’s headquarter is based in Germany, they have branch offices in various regions (the regional office of DAAD in Azerbaijan in located in Georgia) and they have lectorate (office of DAAD) in various universities.
