President: “It’s again Turkey that supports us most in reconstruction of Eastern Zangazur & Karabakh”

“Everything has been destroyed in the liberated lands. My dear brother, the esteemed (Turkish) president has twice visited the liberated lands,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told the VIII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking Countries in Istanbul.

“He saw it (destruction) with his own eyes during his visit to Shusha in June and more recently – in October to Fuzuli and Zangilan. Today, our brotherly Turkey is still the one, which supports us the most for the restoration of the Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh regions.

Today, many Turkish companies are actively involved in very important infrastructure projects for us, that is, bridges, tunnels, roads, railways, power plants, airports.

Together with Azerbaijani companies, 12 Turkish companies participated in the construction of the recently opened Fuzuli Airport, which we commissioned together with the esteemed president (of Turkey). I think this is the reason why we were able to build the airport in a record period, in just 8 months.

“Currently, Turkish companies are also involved in the construction of the Zangilan airport and will participate in our other projects,” the president said.
