Chingiz Abdullayev does not back down – He says he is right again

Azerbaijan People’s writer who was criticized for insulting a journalist at the 13th congress of the Union of Writers Chingiz Abdullayev made a new statement.

Many insulted the journalist in response to Abdullayev’s question about where to spend the 203,000 manat allocated for the congress, saying, “Aren’t you ashamed, aren’t you dying, are you asking me this question?!” although he expected that he would apologize for what he said, he defended himself again.

He wrote on Facebook:

“It is not clear to me how people can believe that I can insult a journalist from where I am standing?” The point is that he was asking the question provocatively. He said that he does not see the money spent in this hall. However, 500 participants saw the open coffee-break table and, of course, that too funds was spent. Why do my dear Azerbaijanis so willingly believe that everyone is a thief, villain, and dishonest?”
