Birol from IEA does not see a serious violation of the price limit of Russian oil products

OTTAWA, Feb 1 (Reuters) – International Energy Agency (IEA) chief Fatih Birol said on Wednesday that he Europe Commission Russia does not expect major problems or disruptions from the proposal to set price caps on oil products.

“There may be some challenges in the transition, but we know that in the second half of this year there will be a significant amount of new refinery capacity coming on line and we’re going to see a lot of product routing around the world, and as a result I don’t expect a big disruption,” Birol told reporters in Ottawa.
