Kishinev, 10 February (Reuters) – Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita announced on Friday the resignation of her government after a tumultuous 18-month rule marked by an economic crisis and the aftershocks of Russia’s war on neighboring Ukraine.
He said at the press conference: “I believe in the people of Moldova. I believe in Moldova.” “I believe that we will overcome all difficulties and trials.”
The former Soviet republic of 2.5 million has been plagued by rising inflation and strained by an influx of Ukrainian refugees last year.
