Ulvi Hasanli is being pressured in the detention center
Baku/11.12.23/Turan: Director of “Abzas Media” online publication, Ülvi Hasanli, who is detained in Baku Detention Center No. 1, is subjected to threats.
Allegations were made against him mainly in connection with the appeal to the ombudsman.
Turan was told about this by his relatives.
Hasanli was banned from meetings and telephone conversations with his relatives, and then from telephone communication with lawyers. All this happened after his appeal to the ombudsman.
The administration of the detention center warned that if he continues to complain, “his condition will worsen.”
In response to a request from the Penitentiary Service to comment on this information, they said that the issue will be investigated and information will be provided.
*Ulvi Hasanli was detained on November 20. The next day, the court arrested him for 4 months on charges of smuggling. Ulvi Hasanli denied the accusations and linked the persecution against him with corruption investigations conducted by “Abzas Media”. – 06B-
