On December 20, the Court of Appeal will consider three appeals of Hafiz Babali
Baku/19.12.23/Turan: On December 20 at 15:00, the appeal against the arrest of investigative journalist Hafiz Babali will be heard at the Baku Court of Appeal. The process will be chaired by Hasan Ahmadov. Lawyer Rasul Jafarov told Turan about this.
Complaints about the operation-search measure regarding Babaly and the seizure of his bank accounts will be considered tomorrow at the Baku Court of Appeal, the lawyer noted.
On December 13, Hafiz Babaly, the editor of Turan agency’s economics department, was detained on charges of “foreign currency smuggling”. He was involved in the case of Abzas Media journalists.
On December 14, the Khatai District Court made a decision on the preliminary arrest of Hafiz Babali for a period of 3 months. – 06B-
